PLAYSAFE Presentations
The children in the Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program are proud to be Safety Ambassadors. Many Champs give PLAYSAFE presentations to their classmates, Brownie troops, church groups, and so on. They use the kids-to-kids approach to child safety. Graduates of CHAMP also stay involved and continue to give these presentations to children in their communities.
PLAYSAFE presentations are available at no cost and can be tailored to suit a variety of age groups, depending on the audience. The presentations always include one or more of our safety videos depending on the length of time available. After the video, an interactive discussion of safety issues normally ensues. This allows the children to discuss the dangers specific to their own environments. Other resources can then be introduced, such as our Spot the Danger! poster.
If you would like to organize a PLAYSAFE presentation for your school or community group, please contact the PLAYSAFE Department. We will do our best to find a suitable representative to meet your needs. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to fulfill each request. In a case where no representative is available, we would be pleased to provide you with any of our video productions as an alternative. We could also send you a supply of printed materials which make ideal hand-outs.
