In the Kitchen
Food Guards
A variety of food guards are available which attach to regular plates. They prevent food from sliding off the plate. Many of them have a curved wall to make scooping easier.

Scoop Dishes
Plates with sides a little higher than a regular plate, and with one side scooped, may make it easier for arm amputees to feed themselves. Bowls also are available with one side in a scoop shape.

Jar/Bottle/Can Openers
Jar and bottle openers which are mounted to the wall or under a cabinet may assist in opening or tightening the lids of jars and bottles. Electric can openers may also assist the arm amputee.

Cutting Boards
Cutting boards can be used to slice and chop food. Prongs are excellent for holding and cutting food. Some boards also have a vice to hold objects.
