Above-knee Rotators
Knee rotators, for above-knee amputees, can help make your artificial leg feel more natural. By the push of a button, the amputee is able to rotate the lower portion of the artificial leg. This makes it easier to get in and out of tight spaces, lets you sit cross-legged in a chair or on the floor and makes putting on and taking off footwear easier. It also enables the amputee to sit more naturally as you can position the lower limb where it is most comfortable, even crossing your legs at the ankles. Your prosthetist can advise you if a knee rotator is suitable for your artificial limb.
