OTTAWA, ON, July 13, 1999 - The War Amps learned today that the French Embassy had accepted its nominations for special certificates to be awarded to Ottawa veterans who had participated in D-Day and the 1944 battles in Normandy. The awards are to be made at a special Bastille Day ceremony on July 14th at the French Embassy.

The Ottawa residents who had been nominated for the award are:
