Junior Counsellors

As older members of CHAMP who have demonstrated leadership qualities, Junior Counsellors are representatives of the Association and wonderful role models for younger Champs as they too grow up in the CHAMP Program.
As War Amps representatives, Junior Counsellors are knowledgeable about The War Amps many programs and services and are available to speak about these to other CHAMP families, the public, community groups, and the media.
As amputees themselves and through their involvement with CHAMP, Junior Counsellors carry on The War Amps legacy of "amputees helping amputees" by acting as peer counsellors.
Junior Counsellors provide on-going support and personal insight into growing up with an amputation. Younger Champs have someone to look up to. Parents see firsthand that their child's future is bright.
Junior Counsellors attend CHAMP Seminars and offer their support. They are a resource for parents who gain practical answers to their many questions.
