For years now, children in the Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program have been warning other children to PLAYSAFE. Now the Champs are sending adults an important message: DRIVESAFE! Children who have lost limbs in vehicle accidents are helping The War Amps convey this vital message to drivers everywhere. In hard-hitting public service messages, Champs display the artificial limbs they must wear because of someone's careless driving.

To ensure that the message gets across, The War Amps offers defensive driving tips and DRIVESAFE windshield stickers. As an on-going reminder, the DRIVESAFE message is prominently displayed on all of our key tags.

The year 2007 marked the 20th Anniversary of DRIVESAFE - an important safety message that is being spread across Canada. The Director of the PLAYSAFE and DRIVESAFE Programs explains... "The message to drivers is as relevant and vital today as it was in 1987, possibly even more so.  The success of the Program is evident and it never fails to amaze me to see our familiar DRIVESAFE stickers prominently displayed in car windows as I travel across Canada to oversee War Amps floats in parades and conduct safety blitzes."
