“CHAMPS” CELEBRATE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE WAR AMPS AT TORONTO CHILD AMPUTEE SEMINAR

April 16, 2018 – The War Amps 2018 Ontario Child Amputee (CHAMP) Seminar starts this Friday in Toronto where young amputees from across the province will help celebrate the Association’s 100th anniversary.

The theme of the Seminar is, “Celebrating 100 Years!” The War Amps was started in 1918 by amputee veterans returning from the First World War to provide each other with support. Today, The War Amps continues to support war amputees, and all amputees, including children.

When: April 20 - April 22, 2018
Where: Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre
801 Dixon Road

Running April 20 to 22, the Seminar is a life-changing experience for “Champs” and their parents, covering everything from raising a child amputee, to dealing with teasing and staring, to seeing the latest developments in artificial limbs.
