War Amps Address Label Mailing Recognizes Public Support
October 15, 2024 - The War Amps 2024 address labels are being mailed to households across the country starting this week, as a tribute to the public for their support of the organization.
Michaela Monsigneur became a double leg amputee due to a medical condition at a young age and is a member of The War Amps Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program. In a letter accompanying the address labels, her parents Michael and Lyndsay share how the
program has been an invaluable resource for their family.
“We attended our first CHAMP Seminar when Michaela was three months old. While there was a lot of information to take in, it was also very empowering. Seeing the older child amputees really showed us that everything would be OK and that Michaela
            would have a great childhood.”
Sent as a thank you to supporters of The War Amps Key Tag Service, address labels are not just for envelopes! They can also be used to identify items like books, or for filling out name and address information on forms.
“Without War Amps donors, we wouldn’t be able to provide Michaela with the limbs she needs for daily life,” Michaela’s parents say. “We would like to say thank you to everyone who donates to The War Amps, because without your donations, Michaela
wouldn’t be able to live the life she does today. Her future is bright – she’s going to move mountains, and we know nothing is going to stop her.”
The War Amps does not receive government grants. Its programs are made possible through public support of the Key Tag and Address Label Service. For more information, or to order address labels, visit waramps.ca or call toll-free 1 800 250-3030.
